When configuring Interventions, the following details are commonly reported. The current way to enter it is to make different sub-tags of interventions, which multiplies hierarchy size.
Commonly found details:
It would be helpful to have a way to enter this information and attach it to an intervention without tag proliferation. Thanks!
Are you thinking of these interventons being modified at the nest or study level? i.e. a property of an intervention or a study arm?
Good Q -
I was thinking:
1) Configure at Nest Level (check boxes or similar):
Interventions should enable collecting:
2) Collect at study level, for ALL Interventions:
All great thoughts. Some other intervention characteristics off the top of my head:
Material(s) present in device (and ability to designate if device is an alloy)
Number of devices administered (singular, dual, etc.)
Route of device administration
Thanks Aaron!
A thought, maybe complex in the wrong direction - should we allow tags to specify an intervention modification? I only mention it because Aaron’s examples seem like concepts likely already present in tags.
Kevin’s examples are nearly all quantitative in nature, so may be better suited to custom fields. However, we’d want to think about how this data would be used before proceeding.
The simplest idea we discussed was having a plain text entry for “modification” or “notes” for each arm, which would only be made available through exported sheets/tables.
After research into a CER & HTA report, it seems like granular Dosage, Duration, and Schedule/Frequency fields may be the way to go.
Note - While we have not built a specific feature for Intervention details, we have launched Tag Tables (https://about.nested-knowledge.com/2023/07/10/tag-tables-explained/), which is great for doses, dosing schedules, and other details!
I’ll close this feature request as addressed by Tag Tables, but if any user thinks it needs further customization, please comment here and I’ll reopen!
