It would be helpful to have a column in study inspector where you can jot down quick notes applicable to the study. For example, its clinicaltrials.gov # or the name of the trial if it is more commonly referred to as that in the literature (e.g. PARADIGM-Hf trial for the heart failure nest) so it’s easy to quickly refer back to these papers when they’re mentioned in the literature. As opposed to having to remember the exact title/authors/publication year for each study etc.
I guess my vision is more of a “nickname” column than general notes but let me know what you think!
Thanks for the request Jade! My only concern would be making this feature useful to everyone (including those who do use title/author/year as their main memorization attribute for studies). Besides the NCT#, which we should probably add as a separate field, I think we can solve this in a way that is to everyone’s liking!
@Kevin.kallmes didn’t we have a similar request in the past for including trial names in the bibliographic info? That would fit well with our soon-landing bibliographic filtering feature.
That makes sense, thanks Karl!
We do have a ‘Trial Names’ request, and once we get ClinicalTrials.gov, we should have NCT# as its own separate field. I think that covers the concepts needed here; for general comments, I’d recommend clicking in on the study and using the Comments feature!
The issue with comments is that they aren’t searchable (or viewable as a column in inspector). Jade wants to be able to type “Paradigm” into the search bar and access the respective study immediately
Got it– Adding that request
Comments are now searchable! I’m repurposing/narrowing this to make Comments a column in Inspector.
We added comment export to Inspector in release 1.59.0, which as far as we’re willing to go with comments in Inspector for the near term!
