Unable to Rotate PDF's now?#299

I am trying to rotate the PDF full text, because a table is vertical and I don’t see the option to do that anymore on the software?

Our new viewer doesn’t support rotation - great point. Something I hadn’t thought about, as my browser default PDF viewer didn’t offer this previously.

Rotation is super important! A lot of tables need to be rotated. Just wanted to upvote and emphasize that this feature is heavily used.

I’ve also not seen where we can zoom in and out on the article and I think we used to be able to do that?

I was just about to ask for the zoom button too!

Hi Karl! How high priority is this? I would say the zoom/rotate features are extremely high priority on the NK research side. Most people are downloading PDFs in viewers right now to manipulate them outside of the software, which isn’t ideal.

This issue has been marked as high priority. The main hold up right now is figuring out how this issue will interact with our annotation system, i.e. what happens when you annotate, then rotate. I’ll be taking another look at this design as soon as we have those feasibility concerns ironed out. I will impart the urgency to the dev team!

To update, we’ve submitted a patch to the upstream open source project here and are hopeful for a quick turnaround.

We’re very excited about it because this means your annotations & ability to make them will be maintained as you rotate the document :)
