Is there a way to not delete but archive tags and other objects. We’re exploring a topic right now, and have narrowed in on a couple key things, and I want to get rid of some tags but dont quite want to delete them, in case the PI asks about them later. Is there a function to hide tags so they dont clutter the view in the tree diagram and the starburst?
Interesting recommendation - so archival would remove the tag from:
How would it be uarchived (I’m thinking we would still have to display on tag config to allow unarchival)? Would it be confusing for some users to e.g. see a tag reappear after unarchiving?
We’re implementing this as “hiding” tags on Synthesis, that will still appear in AL.
Resolved in release 1.58.0. You may hide a tag from Configure Tagging, under the “Hide” tab. It will result in a the hidden tag and its descendants appearing dashed. These tags will still be visible & appliable in AutoLit, but will not appear in Synthesis.
Thanks for the idea & votes!
This is really useful for several of our projects and I like how it’s implemented, thanks dev team!
