No more hoovering in Literature Search#369

I am working on a wiki for literature search and I’m wondering if we could have a different option for users to find “Full History”, without hoovering over the search in order for that option to pop up. I think it’s tricky to explain that a button you might want isn’t there unless you move your cursor a certain way.

HOVERING haha

  1. Love the typo!
  2. @Jeffrey Johnson and I have discussed this exact UX problem in the past, and this validates our biggest concern.

Jeff, I’d love to turn this page around quickly, if we can agree on static buttons/icons to show here that won’t look too ugly stacked up (theoretically most nests should only have a couple rows here).

Hovering is a challenging task to explain in wiki, so I am thinking it would be challening for a new user as well. Thanks!

I agree! Learning (and teaching) is a lot easier when all the functions of the page are immediately visible. Short of avoiding absolutley gross UIs, that should be our top priority.
