Tagging bug#393

I’m met with the “Something went wrong with your request” page when I try to tag a study on the fly that has no tagging hierarchy yet and it’s recurring in multiple nests.

It works fine once you add tags to the hierarchy separately, but I wonder if new users who are not accustomed to creating hierarchies before tagging are being met with this and no longer proceeding.

Specifically these nests:

That is immensely frustrating, and likely a common point of frustration! We’re on it, will have it fixed shortly!

Thanks Jade!

Thanks Karl! Also, I’m curious, in tagging why do some child tags show up with their reference parent tags but some don’t? In this example, both 12mo and 24 mo are technically under Change in intracranial pressure, but only the 12mo indicates this?

“12mo < Change in intracranial pressure”

Good observation! Because it’s a duplicate tag name (i.e. the exact same tag name occurs elsewhere in your hierarchy). In those cases, we differentiate the names by showing their parent tags until the displayed tag names are unique

Oh gotcha, thanks!

Fixed in release 1.35.2. Thanks for the report Jade, feels good to have this one fixed :)
