Screening not going well for me#412

Hi! I find that I keep having to rescreen the same articles. What could I be doing wrong? One thing that would help would be a green checkmark that would appear in the study inspector when you are done screening it. Filtering for unscreened studies seems to help. Any other tips?

That’s an interesting issue– once you Include or Exclude an article, it should be removed from the queue.

However, are you screening from Inspector? I’ve heard requests for making final inclusion status changeable from Inspector, but if you’re using the main Screening tab, it shouldn’t have any repeats. So, if you are just doing a bunch of screening, I’d definitely recommend using sequential Screening.

For Inspector, if you want to screen that way, definitely filter to Unscreened and it should refresh periodically in the background to remove studies as soon as they are adjudicated!

For the checkmark, I’ve seen a similar request for being able to confirm Completeness of screening from Inspector (https://nested-knowledge.nolt.io/219), so we may do something along those lines to help distinguish finished from unfinished articles!

Yes, I am screening from the inspector. Is that a bad idea? Would that be okay if I switch back to sequential screening mode halfway through? Hey, I love the idea of green checkmarks! I have borderline ADHD and get confused easily while screening.

Tiffany - sorry to hear of this confusion! Hopefully it’s just a misunderstanding NK can improve on, and not a bug.

Could you share a screenshot of the filters you are using? Is your nest dual screening configured?

@Karl Holub I realize what I was doing wrong. Not hitting the exclude button sometimes after I selected the reason!

Ah! Glad to hear that it wasn’t a “bug” on our end; I understand how this can be easy to confuse!
