I like the update that extends invitations to emails, however I miss having the drop down box of options for accounts that already exist in the software, at least NK/SME people. It saved time to add people this way instead of typing out their full emails every time. Can we bring this back?

We added this as a privacy measure requested by a variety of users (e.g. https://nested-knowledge.nolt.io/324), which we were inclined to agree with.
Some ideas on how to search users with privacy still in mind:
But I don’t love these because:
Do you have any ideas?

Hey Karl, thanks for the information. 2 and 3 I agree with and don’t make sense to implement. I don’t quite understand what you mean by 1.
When adding an organisation to a nest, does everyone within the org have access? How do we toggle admin/owner/user access for individual users?
Would it be possible to search individual users with a quick search within NK, but only grant this privilege to NK/SME users?

Yes, everyone in the org has access! Org admins are admins in the nest as well, while standard org members are standard nest users.

As much as I like our internal/SME users, we don’t play favorites like that in the software :)

By 1, I think Karl means that people should use Org-addition when they need to add access for lots of people– so that should reduce the ## of emails they need to type in.
You’re correct, when you add an Org to a nest, every individual member in the Org is given user-level access. We also ‘perpetuate Org Admins’, meaning that if someone is an Org Admin, they are given Admin-level access to all nests ‘owned’ by that Org.
I’m not sure about providing an NK-SME-only feature for finding users… if we find the type-a-whole-email too work-intense, I’d prefer something that helps everyone!

Fair enough. How do I know if I’m an admin or standard user within NK? How do we change this for users wanting to be made an admin or owner within their org?

They contact the Org’s Admins or Owners! I’m an admin of NK, and I just made you one too– see your Manage Orgs tab under your name when you’re logged in, and it has a similar user management page.

Gotcha. Thank you both!
