Error when entering a list of PMIDs that contains duplicates into other sources#529

I was entering a list of PMIDs into Other sources which contained duplicates (which was due to my being lazy creating the list in Excel, and easily fixed to only contain unique values). Probably a rare scenario, and usually easily fixed to remove the duplicate values, but before I tried out a couple options and realized why I was getting the error I was confused why the import wasn’t working. Haven’t tried it for DOIs or other ID options.

Interesting– thank you for reporting! There is the quick workaround if you have a spreadsheet of PMIDs: Rather than using Other Sources, uploading that Excel list directly to Literature Search as an import (we accept .CSV and Excel files, if they have a Title and PMID or DOI column). That will get the PMIDs in regardless of the number of duplicates!
