Publication date filters show up one day off#536

E

When I type in a publication date filter, the pill shows up with a date one day before the date I type in. For example, for the filters below I typed in On or Before 12/31/2012 and 01/01/2013 (the same change happens with On or After filters). I’m not sure if the filtering is being done correctly and the text is just showing up wrong or if the filter is actually a day off. It’s not likely to actually make a difference since most studies aren’t published on the last or first day of the year, just wanted to note the bug! Let me know if you need any other info to reproduce it

Reproduced this issue- not sure what the case is. Likely introduced in release 1.78.0. We’ll correct this behavior and let you know if it was a presentation or filtering problem!

Hi Erin, This is a presentation-only problem. Basically, when you create the date, it’s a timezone-less 2013-01-01 00:00, then it renders with a timezone (I’m guessing UTC-6 for you), so 2012-12-31 18:00. Filtering logic itself will be correct (no timezones in the loop). A fix will be included in our next release, thanks a bunch for calling this one out!

Resolved in release 1.79.0. Thanks for your patience, took us longer than normal to push this release out for tech reasons!
