Thanks for the recommendation, I wasn’t familiar with MMAT! It looks like it would fit well into our Critical Appraisal module :)

It would be incredibly useful, otherwise for much of my work I can’t use NK passed the screening stage.

One option you might consider in the interim is to set up the MMAT tool via (form-based) tagging. I’d recommend:

  • Making one root tag for each study type in the MMAT tool
    • Under Settings, configure questions to be grouped by root tag
  • Under each study type root, configure each item from MMAT as a Single Apply question, with text options as Yes/No/Can’t Tell for contents.
  • Optionally, make a Single Apply question for Overall Assessment (if MMAT or your study design calls for such a thing).

It would take some time to configure, but you could template + share with other nests & colleagues to avoid repeat work.

Thanks, but if deemed ineligible (excl) how does this work through to the Prisma chart or does it require manual adjustment at this point?

Correct, if you deem a study ineligible for Synthesis, we’d advise going back to exclude it using Study Inspector. Alternatively, you may leave it included, but filter ineligible studies from Synthesis or Exports.
