Alternative list view (similar to exported tagging excel) to edit tags#568

I spent about 12H editing 2K tag names. It was super laggy and it would have been nice to have been able to look at a list view and be able to go down the list and re-name tags.

Interesting issue, and I believe it was a lot slower than you’d want. We didn’t design with that volume of tags needing editing– why did you need to change 2K tag names? Or is “editing” inclusive of tag creation?

Poor planning on my part tbh and then having to go back and quality control. I wanted the tags to have a consistent naming scheme because in a nest this size it was getting too confusing.

It was mostly just editing that took me that long. Just opening the tag and typing would take several seconds each one.

Thanks Nicole– this one may be quite specific, but a different editing environment for ease of name changes doesn’t sound unreasonable. It may be harder to design or implement, so we’ll consider it!

I agree this is probably a corner case, but I figured I’d bring it up because maybe there is an easier solution that I didn’t think of!
