Simple calculations in data extraction cells#261

I’m unsure if someone else may have already suggested this but I think it would be helpful to be able to perform simple calculations in the input boxes when extracting data, similar to how you can in excel, rather than having to do calculations manually. For example, when recording the number of each sex and papers only give the number of females, being able to do a quick subtraction in the cell would save some time. Not a lot, but might be helpful!

Hey Jade! We haven’t received this exact request yet. We have recieved similar requests related to automatic unit conversions but I’ll leave this one open because it’s a bit different!

To add, sometimes I have to convert months to years, or blood from ml to units. If you could have an excel type thing with “=34/12” to auto calculate inside the cell, it would make the calculations more traceable and save time + accuracy. Admittedly this doesn’t happen THAT often, but still a cool feature.
