I know there is already the option to filter by tag and boolean tag query but it would be helpful to filter studies that have been extracted for cases where studies have been tagged but the data has not been extracted and vice versa. It would be even better to have the option to filter by boolean extract query!
I’m generalizing your request, to the ability to do any logical combination of filters. Right now, all your filters are ANDed together, which doesn’t capture a case like you’re pointing out (e.g. ("Tagging complete" NOT "Extraction complete") OR ("Extraction complete" NOT "Tagging complete")
, or just "Tagging complete" XOR "Extraction Complete"
).
There are so many times I’ve wished we’ve offered this capability for more than just tags! Even just a single OR expression between several filters would be so nice.
(Let me know if I’ve misinterpreted your request, btw!)
Having a large range of capabilities for AND/OR/NOT filters would be great! Though I did mean specifically the option to filter by data elements/the specific tags that were extracted. Similarly to how we can filter by specific tags. Does that make sense?
Got it now! I’m guessing your most pressing use case is to rapidly identify studies where a DE was tagged (as in, the tag was applied during tagging) but not extracted in one or more arms?
If we added an additional filter for “DE extracted”, combined with this feature (OR/NOT operators), this query would look like ("Tagged: DE" NOT "Extracted: DE") OR ("Extracted: DE" NOT "Tagged: DE")
.
Let’s track the ability to filter for “DE extracted” here: #283
Yes exactly! Thanks.
Bumping back down to Under Consideration– we have specced this out, but found that managing priority/parens becomes an issue rapidly in building out complex queries. Please continue giving feedback on this concept, and we will revisit if we can find a way to avoid complexity in the structure of AND/OR!
